Posle tačno deset godina otkako je prvi put našla put do Segunde, Ueska je napravila novi istorijski uspeh tako što je dva kola pre kraja zapečatila plasman u najviši rang fudbala u Španiji – La Ligu!
To iz mnogih objektivnih razloga nije tako česta pojava u fudbalski najjačim evropskim zemljama gde je većina klubova sa iole dužim istorijatom ili boljim poklapanjem ambicija i mogućnosti, uspela da ,,okrene” pun ciklus. Naravno, postoje i primeri mladih klubova koji su do cilja stigli ubrzanom metodom uz pomoć značajnog kapitala (Lajpcig kao primer), a povremeno se desi da fenomenalan rezultat zabeleži i klub starijeg datuma osnivanja (Frosinone).

Ueska ne spada u ,,ugrožene” stare vrste, ali ni u ,,milenijalce”. U svakom slučaju, starija je od italijanske Ćitadele koja jedina iz pet fudbalski najznačajnijih zemalja u Evropi ima šanse da uradi ono što je u Španiji uradila Ueska, odnosno da se prvi put nađe u elitnom društvu.
Posle mnogo godina treće i četvrte lige, Ueska postaje član elite
Ueska je osnovana 1960. godine u istoimenom gradu u severoistočnom delu Španije. Mesto od pedesetak hiljada stanovnika je smešteno u autonomnoj pokrajini Aragon koja se sastoji od provincija Ueska, Saragosa i Teruel. Naravno da se fudbal i ranije igrao u tom gradu, ali su se prethodni pokušaji završavali gašenjem klubova.
Ueska je od svog osnivanja pa sve do pre deset godina svo vreme provela u trećem i četvrtom rangu domaćeg fudbala. U sezoni 2007/08 ekipa je osvajanjem drugog mesta u Segundi B po prvi put osigurala sezonu u drugoj ligi Španije. Nakratko se vratila u treći rang (2014/15), da bi u trećoj sezoni posle povratka ispisala najvažniju stranicu svoje istorije.

Ne može se reći da se do rezultata došlo slučajno imajući u vidu da je prethodne sezone ekipa iz Aragonije učestvovala u plej-ofu za ulazak u Primeru. Tada je Hetafe bio bolji u polufinalu, ali već ove sezone se otišlo korak dalje i obezbedio direktan plasman.
